What is CITIZEN HART about?

We want the area in which we live to be the best it can be. We want to try to rebuild a community as it should be. We want to be better citizens of the area we live in. We want peolpe to get to know their neighbours. We sincerely hope you would like the same things.

We also want certain issues to be the concerns of the whole of Fleet & Hart rather than just being seen as localised to certain areas

For example, the issue of the Pyestock developement may been seen to be a problem mainly concerning Pondtail residents, since they are the closest to it. Also, the Queen Elizabeth Barracks development is regarded as an issue for residents in that part of Church Crookham.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. These issue will have an adverse effect on all of Fleet and Hart and as such should be acted upon by everyone.

Our FORUM is the main part of this ideal.

What Is A FORUM

It's a place where you are able to read, submit and comment of any number of issue of importance from Pyestock to Litter; The Queen Elizabeth Barracks development to Mobile Phone Masts.

If you've never seen or visited a forum before, please click here and take a look. It's very easy to use.

We want it to be a place where information can be presented and shared by everyone, with easy access to all facts and opinions.

We feel information is crucial to our community; information that is sometimes hard to find unless one knows where to look or has the time & inclination to try to find it.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT, OPINIONS & HELP. This is your FORUM.
IT CANNOT SURVIVE UNLESS YOU CONTRIBUTE.
Many important issues only seem to be discovered by chance or through word of mouth. We even feel sometimes that information is made deliberatly hard to find. Whatever the case, it is often a slow process to gather the information we need. & all too often only discovered after it is too late.

We want Citizen HART to be a central hub of information where important issues can be quickly realised, discussed and acted upon, if need be. If we all make our united voices heard, maybe we can actually make a difference.

If you have an issue of interest, please let us know on our FORUM; you might be the only one who is aware of it.

If you have never used a FORUM before, don't worry. It is very simple. Click HERE for a Step by Step guide.

Our Motivations

We are tired of continual building development where our rights and standard of living are continually trampled in the pursuit of financial gain and profit by individuals & companies who have no interest in how it affects the people who live in this area.

We are tired of automatically paying out more & more money for services which seem to continually fall short of our expectation.

We are tired of decisions being made despite us, rather than on our behalf and in our best interests.

We are tired of the few who, through selfishness & ignorance, spoil our neighbourhoods with their anti social behaviour, to the detriment & aggravation of the rest of us. (graffiti, vandalism, litter, fly tipping, dog fouling)

What we are & what we aren't?

We are not associated with any political party and have no other affiliation with any other group. In other words, we are not pretending to be something we are not.

We have no motives other than trying to make where we live a better place.

We are not trying to be a general news site. Although we are happy to cover any current topic, our goal is to make available as much information as possible about important issues that really affect us all. We always seem to have to hunt around for fragments of stories. We hope, with your input, that we can bring all the information to one place of reference, for the benefit of all, so everyone has instant access to it & is aware of what is happening around us.

What we are.

We are simply citizens of Hart, like you, who feel we need to stand up and try to make Hart the kind of place we are all happy & proud to live in.

Our intension is not to preach or assume a superior standing but hopefully to strive towards similar goals. We all have opinions and you are welcome whatever your views

Unfortunately, most (but hopefully not all) of the current topics covered here are quite pessimistic. We love where we live, with it's many great assets. We hope to make our future more optimistic as we go.

If you would like to helps us, visit our FORUM right now.

IMPORTANT !

We are residents of the Pondtail area of Fleet and, as such, a few predominant issues featured here are based around this part of Fleet. However, it is our hope that, like ripples in Fleet Pond (just to be topical), our good intentions can spread throughout Fleet, Hart and the surrounding Northeast Hampshire wards (with your help and contributions) If you have an issue or comment from any part of Hart or it's boarders, please feel free to use this FORUM or Contact Us.

Thank You for taking the time to visit our site. CItizen Hart

All dog owners have a responsibility to clean up after their dogs, wherever they are. We are continually amazed at owners who still don't care if their dogs foul the pavements, paths or verges. This is just laziness, selfishness & ignorance towards everyone who lives around them. This is exactly the kind of thing we hope to change; to get people to care about where they live...(more)
